Language File Editor is a FREE open source tool to edit/update .lang files, which let you translate software GUIs into YOUR language.
.lang files are plain text and can be updated with text editors such as NotePad++, but LFE also includes the ability to compare (‘diff’) translated .lang files with template.lang files and automatically jumps to the next untranslated string and copies it to the clipboard for faster and less error prone updates. (Just paste into your translator then copy/paste the translated text back into LFE.) Includes a handy link to the Windows Character Map.
LFE can be used to update the UI language of add-on products for dtSearch such as Database Indexer and 365 (SharePoint) Indexer (ask for updated template files).
